Intervention Services
Small Cohort Intervention
Begins August 31st
Every student begins with a comprehensive reading assessment to identify their unique strengths and areas of need. Using these results, your child is thoughtfully placed into a Foundations or Arise level group with peers working at a similar instructional level.
Students join a small group that meets twice each week for 50 minutes of explicit, systematic reading instruction using the Orton-Gillingham approach. Instruction is personalized, multisensory, and designed to build strong foundational reading and spelling skills while fostering confidence and long-term success.
Enrollment includes a 12-week minimum commitment, allowing students the consistency and practice needed to make meaningful progress. Throughout instruction, your child's growth is continuously monitored, with a formal reassessment completed every 12 weeks to celebrate progress, adjust instruction, and determine the most appropriate next steps.
Following each reassessment, families receive a detailed progress report outlining their child's growth, strengths, and areas for continued development. Students advance to the next instructional level based on mastery—not a fixed timeline—and may continue receiving support for as long as they are benefiting from instruction.

Formal Reading Assessment
Gain a clear understanding of your child's reading strengths and areas of need with a comprehensive diagnostic assessment. This evaluation identifies the specific foundational reading skills your child has mastered and pinpoints the areas that need targeted support.
Assessments are used to determine placement in our small group cohorts, guide individualized one-on-one tutoring plans, or as a stand-alone service for families seeking a detailed picture of their child's reading abilities. Many parents also choose to share the assessment report with their child's school to help inform reading interventions and support services.
Each assessment includes a comprehensive, parent-friendly written report outlining your child's strengths, areas for growth, instructional recommendations, and next steps.

1-on-1 Individual Tutoring
Our individualized reading intervention is designed to close skill gaps, build confidence, and accelerate long-term reading growth. Every student begins with a comprehensive reading assessment and detailed report, allowing us to create a personalized instructional plan based on their unique strengths and areas of need.
Lessons are tailored specifically to your child and provide explicit, systematic instruction in phonological awareness, phonics, decoding, spelling, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension using the Orton-Gillingham approach. Sessions are typically held twice each week to provide consistent practice and meaningful progress.
Your child's growth is continuously monitored throughout instruction, with a formal reassessment completed every 12 weeks. These reassessments allow us to celebrate progress, adjust instructional goals, and ensure your child continues receiving the support they need. Students continue tutoring for as long as they are benefiting from instruction, advancing based on mastery rather than a fixed timeline.

Summer Reading Groups
Help your child maintain momentum and continue building strong reading skills all summer long! Our small-group summer sessions provide explicit, systematic reading instruction in a fun, engaging environment using the Orton-Gillingham approach. Lessons are designed to strengthen foundational reading and spelling skills, build confidence, and prevent the "summer slide" so students return to school feeling prepared and successful.
Students are grouped by instructional level rather than grade, allowing each child to receive targeted support alongside peers with similar reading needs. With small class sizes and personalized instruction, every student receives the attention and practice needed to make meaningful progress while enjoying a positive, encouraging learning experience.
