How do small groups work?
Every student begins with a comprehensive reading assessment before joining one of our small groups. This assessment helps us identify your child's current strengths, areas for growth, and instructional needs so they are placed in the group that best matches their skill level—not their grade level.
Our groups are mastery-based, meaning students progress through each level as they demonstrate mastery of the skills being taught. Students meet twice a week for instruction. Every 12 weeks, students complete a progress evaluation to monitor growth and determine whether they are ready to advance to the next level or continue strengthening their current skills.
